Jasper Has No Free Plan. Seven Days, Then $59 a Seat.

The Creator plan is gone and so is any free tier. Seven days is enough to test brand voice, and that is the only thing worth testing.

Jasper has no free plan. It offers a 7-day trial of Pro, which is $59 per seat per month billed annually or $69 month to month. The cheaper Creator tier has been retired for new customers, so the real entry price is $59 a seat.1

That is a harder position than most of this category. Copy.ai leaves you 2,000 words forever, Rytr gives 10,000 characters a month indefinitely, and Notion AI hands out a fixed number of responses. Jasper gives you a week and then asks for a card.

The question worth answering is not whether 7 days is stingy. It is whether 7 days is enough to learn the one thing Jasper is actually selling.

Notion AI bundles AI into a business tier at $20 a seat and Rytr's unlimited plan is $9 a month. Jasper is the most expensive entry point in this category by a wide margin, and the trial is the only way to find out whether the difference is real.

One item we could not verify

Whether the Jasper trial requires a credit card. Jasper's own pricing and trial pages invite you to start a 7-day trial without stating a card requirement either way. Third-party reviews conflict: some report the trial starts without payment details, others report that a card is required at signup and that billing begins automatically on day 8.

We are not going to guess at the highest-stakes field on this page. Check the signup form before you enter anything, because the difference between a trial that lapses and one that charges $69 in seven days is the difference between a test and a purchase.

Spend the seven days on brand voice, not on demos

Jasper's proposition is not that it writes better sentences than a general assistant. It is that it writes in your brand's voice, consistently, across people and campaigns. That is the thing a week can tell you.

Setting up a Brand Voice means feeding in samples of writing you already publish and judging whether new output sounds like the same author. Do that on day one. Prompts with no context will tell you nothing about the product Jasper charges for.

DayWhat to doWhat it tells you
1Load a Brand Voice from your own published copyWhether the voice model is worth the subscription
2 to 3Run three real briefs through CanvasWhether output needs editing or rewriting
4Give the same brief to a free toolWhether Jasper beats what you already have
5 to 6Test the workflow you would repeat weeklyWhether it saves time on actual work
7Decide and, if leaving, cancelWhether day 8 charges you

What changed and why the old numbers are wrong

A large amount of the material published about Jasper is out of date. The Creator plan, usually quoted at $39 to $49 a month with a 50,000 word monthly allowance, is no longer sold to new customers. Jasper's pricing page lists Pro and Business only.

If you are budgeting from an article that quotes Creator, you are budgeting for a product line you cannot buy. The current floor is $59 a seat on annual billing, or $69 month to month.

When seven days is enough

When your reason for looking is brand consistency for a team. You can load a voice, run real briefs and compare against a baseline inside a week, and the answer will be clear either way.

It is also enough if you only need occasional help. A week of heavy use on one project can produce a lot of the copy you were going to need.

When it is not

If what you need is a diagnostic rather than a generator, Hemingway Editor is free with no word cap at all. If you want a permanent free writing tool, Jasper is the wrong product and no trial length fixes that. Grammarly, QuillBot, Rytr and Wordtune all have free tiers that reset; Jasper does not and has no plans to.

For a solo writer producing under twenty pieces a month, the honest comparison is a general AI assistant at a fifth of the price plus a free grammar checker. Jasper is priced for teams with a brand to protect.

Frequently asked questions

Does Jasper have a free plan?
No. There is a 7-day trial on Pro and no permanently free tier.

How much does Jasper cost?
Pro is $59 per seat per month billed annually, or $69 month to month. Business is custom priced with a 12-month minimum.

Can I still get the Creator plan?
Not as a new customer. It has been retired and Jasper's pricing page now lists Pro and Business only.

Does the trial need a credit card?
Unconfirmed. Jasper's own pages do not state it; third-party reviews disagree. Check the signup form before proceeding.

What happens after the 7 days?
Access to the platform ends unless you subscribe. If a card was taken at signup, billing may begin automatically, which is the reason to confirm the terms first.
