Carrd Gives You Three Free Sites and No Domain of Your Own
One page, three sites, every core feature, and an address that is not yours. Carrd is the cheapest good page on the internet until you want a domain.
Carrd's free plan allows up to three sites per account, each a single responsive page, with all core building features included and no element limit. Sites publish to a carrd.co address carrying a small "Made with Carrd" badge. Custom domains, forms, embeds, analytics and removal of the badge all require Pro, which is offered as a 7-day trial with no card required.1
Carrd does one thing and does it well: a single, beautiful, responsive page that loads fast and costs nothing. Everything about the free tier follows from that scope.2
The plans, measured
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | Paid plans above a 7-day trial |
| Sites | 3 | 10 to 1,000 depending on tier |
| Pages per site | 1 | 1 |
| Elements per site | No limit | No limit |
| Custom domain | No | Yes, with SSL |
| Forms and embeds | No | Yes |
| Carrd badge | Yes | No |
| Analytics | No | Yes |
Prices measured on 22 October 2026. Vendor plan terms, allowances and prices change without notice, so treat every figure on this page as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent fact. Where a number here differs from the vendor's own pricing page, the vendor's page is correct and the figure above is simply older than it.
One caveat on the Pro column: Carrd lists its paid tiers by site count rather than by a single price, and its pages present the trial prominently without a headline figure. This article therefore does not quote a Pro price. Check Carrd's own pages for the current figure for the tier you want.
Three sites is the most generous site count here
No other builder in this category gives you more than one free site. Wix gives one, Webflow gives one with two pages, and Framer gives one project with a traffic cap.
Carrd gives three, and each can be a different purpose: a portfolio, a link list, a wedding page. All three stay live indefinitely.
One page is the constraint that matters
Every Carrd site is a single scrolling page. There is no second page, no blog, no navigation between sections beyond anchor links. For the things Carrd is for that is a feature; for a real website it is a wall.
The workaround is structure: sections stacked vertically with anchor jumps. A well-built Carrd page reads as a complete site rather than a fragment, and that is the craft of the tool.
What free does not unlock
Custom domains, which is the big one. A free Carrd site lives at something.carrd.co. The badge sits in the footer and cannot be removed.
Forms are also Pro-only, which means a free Carrd page cannot collect an email address natively. The common workaround is a mailto link, which works but is clumsy and exposes an address to scrapers.
Embeds and widgets from third parties are Pro-only too. So a free page cannot host a Stripe button, a booking widget or an embedded video from outside Carrd. That rules out selling anything directly from a free Carrd site.
When the free plan is enough
A link-in-bio page. A single-page portfolio where the work speaks for itself. A holding page for a project. An event or announcement page you want to exist for a few months.
It is the best answer in this category for anyone who needs one good-looking page today, at no cost, with no card and no expiry risk.
When it stops being enough
When you need a domain, a form or a payment button. All three are Pro, and all three are core to anything commercial. Pro is a subscription with a 7-day trial that does not require a card, so the honest test is to build the page free, then trial Pro to see the domain and forms in place.
If your ambition is a multi-page site, Carrd is the wrong tool at any price, and free is not the limitation to focus on.
How it compares
Against Webflow, Carrd gives three sites to Webflow's one and neither allows a custom domain on free. Against Wix, Carrd gives more sites but Wix gives a full multi-page site rather than a single page.
Against Netlify, the trade is stark. Netlify gives a custom domain free, unlimited pages and real infrastructure, and expects you to write code. Carrd gives you a design tool and no domain.
Frequently asked questions
Is Carrd really free?
Yes. Up to three sites per account with all core features, no card and no expiry.
Can I use a custom domain on Carrd free?
No. Custom domains with SSL require a Pro plan.
Can I add a signup form on Carrd free?
No. Forms are Pro-only. Free pages can use a mailto link instead.
Does Carrd free show branding?
Yes, a small badge in the site footer. Removing it is a Pro feature.
Can I make a multi-page site with Carrd?
No. Every Carrd site is a single page. Multi-section layouts with anchor links are the intended pattern.
